People of Western Australia's Ghost Towns 
I note you have included “The Barrier” as a ghost town.
My Great Grandfather was stationed there in 1887/8 as it was a “Police station” but it was ransacked many times so was moved to Lillimooloora -(an outstation of Lennard Station)
It was situated on the Gibb River road/ or track in those days.
From what I have determined it was nothing more than a large tent and located near Queen Victorias head in the Leopold Ranges (Wunaamin Miliwundi) or Napier ranges.
I am unaware of a town of any sort being there.
I would appreciate receiving any information you find on it.

We are always keen to hear about personal experiences in any of our ghost communities, as this type of information is invaluable to us as part of the project. The Barrier is one of the Police Stations included in our scope and will be researched and indexed in the future.
